INTRODUCTION
Where Legacy Lives On
Legacy was born from a vision to ensure that no story is ever lost. It’s a secure, collaborative app that allows individuals to record meaningful life stories through guided video prompts, capturing personal experiences, lessons, and memories for future generations. Families and friends can view, collaborate, and cherish these stories, creating a shared legacy that connects generations.
I led the end-to-end design process to create a meaningful and guided app experience for those looking to preserve or view someone's Legacy.
THE WHY
For future generations
People’s stories, memories, and life lessons are precious, yet they are often lost over time. Legacy was created to give individuals a simple, secure way to capture their experiences, reflect on what matters most, and share them with loved ones.
By guiding users through meaningful prompts and providing collaborative, protected spaces, Legacy ensures that personal histories endure, creating connections across generations and leaving an impact that lasts well beyond a single lifetime.
UNDERSTANDING THE JOURNEY
Telling a story through thoughtful design
When wireframing the onboarding flow, I treated it like the beginning of a story. The experience guides users through why they are here, what their impact can be, and who they are, carefully introducing the importance of their story and setting the tone for the rest of the app.
I started by identifying the different types of users the app would serve. From a elder grandparent looking to preserve their life memories or an individual looking to share their legacy for generations to come, we needed to make prompts and prompt customization feel comfortable. Recognizing that each user would engage with the app for different reasons, I focused on creating tools and flows that were accessible, intuitive, and supportive.

The Results
Legacy is set to launch early next year, and I’m very excited to see how it will help preserve memories and stories for generations. Working on projects like Legacy reminds me of the real-world impact thoughtful UX/UI can have.
This was truly a passion project for me and brought out the best in my skill set—both visually and functionally. I’ll be sure to update this once it goes live!
